Has anybody been watching ABC's re-make of the '80s classic miniseries V? I was hooked back then—but the new series has added all kinds of strange and wonderful new elements to the V cannon.

Like Boyz N the Hood star Morris Chestnut. He's almost 40 now and, whew, hotter than ever.

Chestnut plays "Ryan," a rebel alien (sorta like Robert Englund's "Willie" on the original show). Ryan wants to start an armed resistance against the Visitors. The problem is, his fiancé has no idea what is going on, so the writers can make all kinds of DL jokes with Ryan's situation. Hot.

Chef Academy cuties get all Nancy Drew and discover they are living with a porn star

Chef Academy is Bravo's latest Top Chef-inspired competition reality show, and the cast is pretty hot.

We adore former submariner Kyle "Kup" Kupiszewski and Kyle Daley. The two Kyles were at their cutest when they put their porn knowledge to work in last night's debut episode and discovered (as seen in the excerpt above) that classmate Emmanuel DelCour is none other than porn stud Jean Valjean!

Is Glee's Puck part of a hottie trinity?

While watching Glee last night, Mark Salling, the actor who plays self-proclaimed "badass" Puck, reminded me a lot of bad boy singer, Robbie Williams. This morning, I saw that some of my gay boy friends on Facebook had posted similar observations. One even took it to the next level and brought Jackass star Johnny Knoxville into the mix. Makes sense: bad boy + jackass = badass.

New AXE ad is the best twink skater porn ever created

You may remember 19-year-old pro skater Ryan Sheckler (above) and his rather pointless (but totally boner-inducing) MTV show, Life of Ryan. Well, that program was cancelled almost two years ago (wah!). But now the stud is back in the most insanely hot deodorant commercial we've ever seen on broadcast TV. Check it:

Hot Flesh Sunday: Neil Patrick Harris

Who would have guessed that Doogie Howser would grow up to be so yummy, let alone become the first out actor whom no one takes issue with as a mainstream romantic lead? But, Neil Patrick Harris is indeed both (and one of the hippest guys on TV, according this week's Entertainment Weekly). He was such a smash hosting the Tonys that the Old Spice spokesman has been given the reins as host for tonight's Emmys broadcast. Watch out Hugh Jackman; your Oscar gig may not be as secure as you think.

Slaved by the bell

Former tween idol, Mario Lopez, is getting his kink on for season six of naughty Nip/Tuck. The guy with the most distinctive dimples since Shirley Temple, is reprising his cheeky role as Dr. Mike Hamoui for the series' final (allegedly) season. And I am waiting with antici.........pation to see if he also reprises his shower scene with Julian McMahon.

Well, this looks awful

Here is, what, a commercial for soda? No, it's an extended preview for MTV's upcoming three-hour VMAs, which is essentially a commercial itself, for garbage. Some funky urban kids do some boring dancing, a screeching opossum does some gardening on a roof, and an American classic is butchered. I am by no means a theater queen, but this is kind of blasphemous, right? Do the people who watch MTV even know what West Side Story is, let alone this song? Then again, I don't know who any of the people in this clip are, so, whatever.

(Confession: I know who the blonde is towards the end, and I like her.)

30 Rock and Mad Men lead the Emmy noms

Like last year, 30 Rock, Tina Fey, and Mad Men have received 80 million Emmy nominations, which is great. I'm just happy that Jane Krakowski finally got a Supporting Actress nod for her portrayal of the insane but lovable narcissist Jenna Maroney (see above).

Also of note: Family Guy is nominated for Best Comedy Series (!), Sarah Silverman is up for Lead Actress, and Emmy voters still hate vampires (Buffy, anyone?), as True Blood received no major nominations.

Is Simon Rex glad he did gay porn?

Remember Simon Rex, the MTV VJ-turned-actor from the '90s who was more known for his appearance masturbating in gay porn films (Young, Hard and Solo Nos. 2 and 3) than for any of his TV roles? Well, he's back, and this time he's got Lance Bass along for the ride. In the trailer for the pilot episode of Rex's proposed comedy show, Rex plays a version of himself—a struggling actor in need of some controversy to get his career jump-started. So what does he do? He hooks up with a "controversy consultant" who cooks up scandals for the rich and famous.

The pilot (which can be viewed after getting directions from the Rex Team Facebook page) is actually pretty funny and features well-known celebs like Jaime Pressly and Victor Garber getting in on the action. Amazingly, Rex comes off much more likable than before. In one scene he even tries (awkwardly) coming on to former boy bander Bass, stating, "I just became gay yesterday." (Contrary to popular thought, gay rumors can evidently do wonders for a celebrity's career.) The show certainly isn't the best thing we've seen, but it is definitely Rex's best work since his jack-off videos. We'd definitely watch it if it got picked up—especially if it allowed him to show off what God gave him.

Hmmm, now that Rex seems to be cool with his porn past, does this mean he might consider making a return to the jizz biz in the future? One can only hope. 

Examining the celebrity closet

Oh, look: Another obviously gay celebrity refuses to acknowledge being gay to the press. This time around, it's Ugly Betty's Michael Urie who's skirting the issue of his sexuality, using the time-honored excuse that outing himself would limit his ability to be thought of objectively as an actor. In a recent interview with New York Magazine, Urie said, "I'm interested in keeping -- you know, actors have to be able to do lots of different things, and while I'd say there's an ongoing theme [to the parts I play], I'm also not interested in having any real publicity about who I am and what my private life is and things like that. I'm an actor and I don't want to be a [fill-in-the-] blank actor."

While we certainly see Urie's point (and, for the record, we agree that every public figure has the right to conduct his or her career in the manner they see fit), we have to ask: When everyone pretty much already knows the actor is gay, does it do him—or his career—any good to continue denying it, or does it just make him look cowardly? After all, Urie identifies himself as "a member of the LGBT community" on his website, and has played a slew of gay roles outside of his role as uber-gay Mark on Ugly Betty: He starred as an emotionally numb homo in the 9/11 drama WTC View and is currently appearing onstage in The Temperamentals, an Off-Broadway play about gay activist group the Mattachine Society. Is Urie's refusal to publicly admit to being a cocksucker really doing anything to make people think of him as any less gay?

Of course, Urie is hardly the only public figure to find himself in the middle of such a debate. Let's examine a few other notable [alleged] closet cases after the jump and see how they stack up.
