Former Soft Cell front man, Marc Almond, has had his share of solo career ups and downs, but we think this little dittie from '86 is one of his tastier treats. And the haunted mansion storyline of the accompanying video is a deliciously spooky snack, perfect for All Hallow's Eve.

We like The Gossip well enough, but we are really fond of this infectious, disco-inspired ditty. And the delightful video seems like a balloon fetishist's dream come true. Not familiar with balloon fetishism? Then pick up our Men presents Fetish special, which features Malachi Marx rubbing one out with some inflated friends.

When fashion photographer Mariano Vivanco was commissioned to direct a promotional film for Qasimi Menswear, he cast Adonis Marlon Teixeira as the eye candy and selected Society’s track, “Drifting Down,” for the score. So, this is not a music video per se. Society has only made one official video (viewable after the jump) since forming in 2007. But, the British duo might as well make this film their official video for “Drifting Down,” since it's unlikely that Vivanco's interpretation can be improved upon. He has captured the song’s dreamy longing and languid pace so sumptuously, you almost overlook the clothing.

In addition to the song title's obvious appeal, PJ Harvey's 1993 video for "Man-Size" is proof that you don't need a dozen backup dancers, elaborate costumes, or gimmicky storylines to sell a song. Not if you are dripping with charisma, like she is.
The fact that both the song and the video have held up for more than fifteen years is a testament to the endurance of La Harvey's talent. We only wish that the perm she sported then was as timeless.

Animal Collective is a group of avant-garde musicians from Baltimore, Maryland (John Waters' home town). Their video for “My Girls” is one of the most beautiful things we’ve ever seen. Imagine throwing a Kraftwerk video, Andres Serrano’s “Piss Christ,” some Futurama animation cells and a Gustav Klimt painting into a blender in an attempt to output an iPod commercial. It looks something kinda like that.

On April 20th, 1992, a concert was held to honor Queen front man Freddie Mercury, who died of AIDS-related complications the prior November, and to raise money for research. Annie Lennox solidified her reputation as one of pop's great female artists that night, giving an urgent and impassioned performance, upstaging David Bowie in the process (no easy feat). “Under Pressure,” the Bowie/Queen single released in 1981 (the year Ronald Reagan took office), felt more timely than ever.
The world was in dire shape back then: twelve years of GOP leadership resulted in a stock market crash larger than 1929’s, a war in the Middle East and a massive health care crisis (sound familiar?). The development of protease inhibitors was still several years away and HIV was fatal, not chronic. Later that year, Democrat Bill Clinton was elected President and lead the greatest economic expansion in America's history until 2001, when another Bush took over, creating a world worse than his father and Reagan combined.

Digitalism's "Pogo" is one of our favorite tracks of the past few years. And the German "dance punk" duo's video for the track remains one of the most dizzyingly delightful we have seen in as long, even though the gold shoe craze has come and gone.
