I'll give this clown the benefit of the doubt and assume she's drunk. I can't be sure, but I think I heard her say that she used to work for the government but was—surprise!—fired. So, just be happy a person like this is keeping busy by making a fool of herself in public as opposed to earning a living off your tax dollars.

Cynthia Nixon's speech in D.C. this past weekend really couldn't have been more perfect. For those of you who have no intention of ever getting married or have been otherwise apathetic to this movement, the last two minutes are for you.

Some dumb bitch got fired for making fun of those gay wedding photos

You'll remember the amazing photos that came out earlier this week of Michael K. Cole and Jamil Smith Cole's wedding. Well, some bitter administrative assistant named Sandra Bradley was fired from Morehouse College for writing a nasty e-mail about the nuptials.

Here's what Cunty McCunterson wrote regarding the wedding:

“I can’t believe this wedding. It’s 2 men. They don’t smile in a lot of pictures and they look like a few brothers I’ve seen in the streets looking STRAGHT. Black women can’t get a break, either our men want another man, a white woman (or other nationality that’s light with straight hair), they are locked up in jail or have a 'use to be' fatal disease. I’m beginning to believe Eve was a black woman and we Black women are paying for all the world’s sins through her actions (eating the apple)."

Ha ha, all of her ex-boyfriends have cheated on her, with other men. Sucks, lady!

Anyways, Morehouse apologized and said they respect diversity.

True Blood's Mehcad Brooks hearts the gays

First of all, this picture.

OK. Not that you needed another reason to love Mehcad Brooks, but here's one anyways. The True Blood star (who, spoiler alert, isn't coming back next season thanks to Jason Stackhouse) recently told Honey that he won't be getting married until gays can too:

...I want a wife, I want kids. The whole thing. But I’m also not even concerned with marrying somebody until it’s legal for everybody to get married. And what I mean by that is the whole Prop 8 thing.

I find it really offensive. I just find it really problematic when you start throwing people’s rights away. Until we get our gay brothers and sisters back into a realm of consciousness that everyone else is in, it’s just not right.

No one should be surprised that someone so insanely beautiful also happens to have a brain, but it's refreshing nonetheless. And, it's an excuse to post another picture:

This marriage equality ad is sweet, sad

Some marriage equality ads miss the mark and give me a case of the blahs (i.e. that horrific one with Dianne Feinstein here in California), while others are fantastic and inspire me (at least for a minute) to be a more vocal and passionate supporter of the cause. Bill Clinton explains Defense of Marriage Act to pissy gay blogger

Is this the new thing, to go to meetings, stand up, and just start shouting? GAH. I don't care if you're a gay (the guy in the beginning of the clip is gay, right?) or a wingnut at a health care town hall, just STOP IT. This altercation, between some blogger and Bill Clinton, happened at yesterday's Netroots Nation Conference.

And, while Clinton has a good rebuttal to the "don't ask, don't tell" flap, his DOMA spiel gets a FAIL, because at the end of the day, he signed that shit weeks before his 1996 re-election, so voters wouldn't think he was a fag.
