Eye Candy: Ad it up

Another storm is gathering. And it involves Eye Candy’s favorite models.

While we have given equal space to both Sean O’Pry and Edilson Nascimento, it seems Mr. Nascimento is not satisfied with just being called “stunning” compared to Mr. O’Pry being termed “exquisite.” How else does one explain the Guess ad with him copying Mr. O’Pry’s H&M ad right down to the bed-head pompadour? It's kinda like a male model version of Single White Female.

While Sean O’Pry may be moving towards the top of the male fashion model heap, Edilson Nascimento is probably the hottest model in the gay blogosphere. Seriously, do a search on 10 gay blogs and we guarantee that he will pop up on at least five.

And since it’s been nearly two months since our last Edilson post (you little darlings must be starved), another round of eying this candy is long overdue.

Eye Candy: The boy from Brazil

Coco Chanel once said, “Before leaving the house, look in the mirror and remove one accessory.” Now, we know that a shirt is technically not an accessory, but we are tickled pink that Brazilian model Edilson Nascimento chose to ditch his instead of the charming little nautical cap he wears in this photo, shot for Capricho magazine. And we are most grateful to photographer Marcio Del Nero for documenting Nascimento’s arousing luster with such skill.

While it is true that 22-year-old Nascimento brings a lot to the table (velvety skin, succulent shoulders, engorged lips, lashes for days), it is Mr. Del Nero’s masterful lighting that makes this photo so alluring. You might be surprised by the number of images we view on a daily basis that fail to light both the face and the figure with equal quality. Since our boy from Brazil has such a mouthwatering epidermis, it would be cruel and unusual punishment for the photographer to highlight only some of it.

Coco Chanel also said, "The best color in the whole world is the one that looks good on you.” We think the color that looks best on Edilson Nascimento is, “skin.”
