Congrats on the exclusive! I knew if gay blogs treated this guy with a bit of respect he would be beneficial (I hope) and be the nail in that hypocrite's coffin. Like I said, I've seen blogs where you couldn't tell if the enemy here was the Focus on the Founder anti-gay sleezebag, or this guy. The quest for truth is still in the air… That said Jo-Vanni we here at www.lezgetreal.com respect your privacy; however what this Rekers has done has in effect not helped nor looked after any kids. He is the reason kids commit suicide far too often. If he has practiced homosexual acts with you or anyone then he needs to be exposed. Because he is going around and making his living teaching that sex acts between men is an abomination and that gay people can be cured. Such is a BIG cause of teen suicide. So why should kids think they can be cured when the guy saying it can be done, is himself not cured?

ive been following this story from the news and its so awesome to see that the other person involved in a sex scandal is for once being mature. I think that in most cases these types of things can be handled without the crazy media stir. George Rekers has done far worse damage than supporting Florida's ban on gay couples adopting children.

Rekers is a public health menace!

When I was a journalist, I interviewed Cybill Shepherd right after she had participated in a gay rights march on Washington. I asked the actress why a raging heterosexual like her marched in a gay parade. :)

Shepherd told me she got involved in the gay rights movement after reading a tragic, shameful statistic: 70 percent of teen suicides are gay or lesbian.

Rekers' demonization of gays is literally killing impressionable young minds who accept and internalize his condemnation of them as sinners with a mental illness.

He holds out the psychologically discredited belief that gays can be "cured," turned straight, when he is Exhibit No. 1 that gays, like Rekers, can't change their sexual orientation no matter how much they want to or how much they pray.

Fundamentalist ministers are also public health menaces because they urge teenagers to abstain from sex instead of urging them to wear condoms. For the same reason, the pope is not a great moral leader but a dangerous bigot who contributes to the spread of AIDS by claiming the use of condoms is a mortal sin.
