What happened to former Will & Grace star Megan Mullally? You may think we're about to go on a tirade about how badly her career has fallen, but the truth is that she's laughing all the way to the bank by endorsing I Can't Believe It's Not Butter in the campiest infomercial ever seen.
Check out the video, people, after the jump!
Yes, Megan Mullally had a failed talk show, and yes there was that failed sitcom on ABC last year (or if it's still on it's so non-important that I can't remember the name) but we can't get enough of the infomercial that is currently taking up time on a whole DISH Network channel.
Turn the Tub Around is this insane musical dance short where Mullally sings new lyrics to the classic song song "Turn the Beat Around" (a disco smash by Vicky Sue Robinson and, more recently, Gloria Estefan) backed up by a bunch of gay dancers and one awkward chunky black one. They all look like they stepped out of a Disneyland stage show with their big smiles and pinwheeling arms as they excitedly communicated how I Can't Believe It's Not Butter is better than real butter. (And if you turn the tub around you can see the nutrition facts for yourself—get it?)
Here's how viewing the video converts you: You become obsessed with the lyrics and how the writers are so obviously aware that this is the dumbest moment of their careers but they give it 100% anyway. You then become impressed that Mullally can sing these silly lyrics to that wonderfully frantic beat. You marvel at the dancers who look like they think this could actually be their big break. And by the time a male stunt double puts on her dress and does some flips your head will explode.
It's totally like a drug... You keep going back for more because you can't believe how incredible it is even though you're feeling guilty because you know it's totally bad for you to be enjoying it.

She has done a shit ton of theatre. Just because theatre doesn't give an actor maximum exposure doesn't mean they aren't working or their career has tanked. Theatre is a different lifestyle and is extremely rewarding depending on what the individual actor values. She's an outstanding comedian and seems to really love her work. I respect her for that!

She publicly campaigned for CRASH to win the Best Picture Oscar against BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN.
She is DEAD to me.
