Zach Sire, Associate Editor: So after last weekend in Palm Springs and the weekend before that in San Diego, I am not doing ANYTHING this weekend except for laundry, spending quality time with my dog (that sounds weird but it's not, we just spoon), and curling up with my favorite American author's new book, Going Rogue.
This political memoir is said to be a real tour de force, and thanks to a friend at HarperCollins, I have an advance copy that I plan on reading this weekend right before I slit my wrists.
The rest of your Unzipped editorial staff is doing far more than I am. After the jump, take a peek at their off-the-clock escapades...
Rick Andreoli, Executive Editor: I'm going to a dinner tomorrow night for the Free Speech Coalition, which is honoring the likes of Ron Jeremy, Larry Flynt, and Stormy Daniels. I'm sure there will be many stories to tell next week. Plus, getting the Production Company of the Year award is Titan Media
. This will be my first time meeting the Titan folks face to face, so I'm super excited.
Michael Matson, Photo Editor: I have made my way to the final disc of season 2 of Skins. So far, both seasons have been amazing and I can’t wait to see how it ends. I plan to buy both seasons on DVD, once the holidays are over. Maybe I will be lucky enough to get Skins for Christmas (hint, hint).
Winston Gieseke, Managing Editor: How famous does one have to get before they're no longer able to get a "real job?" That's the question I'll be pondering over drinks with friends this weekend. And also which celebrity I'm hoping to see next in a home sex tape. Maybe another one with Travis Wolfe.
Asagi Kurosawa, Graphic & Web Designer: "The Ballad of Gay Tony" is a new downloadable episode for Grand Theft Auto 4 on the XBOX 360. I'm really excited about sitting down with this storyline that follows the dirty work of a Latin bodyguard that has no problem unloading his clip for his boss "Gay Tony." Rockstar Games (not to be confused with the energy drink company) is taking big strides with this new installment to their blockbuster franchise by introducing a gay club owner and his boyfriend into the video game world. And since its release on October 29th, it's been getting some of the highest reviews on all the major gaming sites. Time to stock up on the caffeine and lotion then find a comfortable spot on the couch, because I don't think I'll be able to put it down all weekend. The lotion is for blister-control on my thumbs, perverts.
