Yes, he's in trouble, and yes, he's hot

Seth Apper—who I labeled a "hunky gaylebrity" a few months ago and who wrote a guest entry here—updated his Facebook status last week saying that he had been sober for 30 days, and I assumed he was in rehab. Now, word has gotten out that he's in jail facing drug charges. Apper, a former personal assistant to Bruce Vilanch and a very hot escort, has always seemed nice and fun when I've seen him out and about, plus he looks extremely good naked, so hopefully everything will work out for him.

When you believe your only commodity is your ass and all your worth is in making a man you don't know feel pleasure you are a disaster waiting to happen. Desperate people do desperate things, and damaged people damage other people.

I'm 42 (243 in gay years) and I've never had gay friends that didn't have to work their ass off to have even the smalllest amount of self worth.

If you can't muster up human compassion for another gay man in crisis then it is you that are the "useless member of gay society", not just the gay society. Your a pitiful excuse for a human in on a planet that calls itself "evolved".

Seth got what he deserved- He hooked many of my friends on his illegal drugs and was notorious for selling his own 'home brewed' concoctions. Many of them led to people getting sick or unintended side-effects.

For UNZIPPED to coyly let Seth off the hook simply because they think 'he's hot' is irresponsible, wrong and incredibly vapid. Apper's history in West Hollywood runs deep and I have a feeling that this show is definitely far from being over. Once he starts naming names and pointing fingers, the shit is seriously going to hit the fan.

Human compassion is better served for those who deserve it. Apper was given FOUR shots to clean up his life and he greedily continued down the wrong path.

2. I am not letting anyone "off the hook" but rather wishing Seth Apper well. The courts can pass judgment and determine his punishment, not Unzipped.net.

3. Personally, I hold people who do drugs more responsible for their drug use than the people who sell them the drugs.

4. For the most part, we celebrate hot guys here, therefore the peg of this news story is the fact that Seth Apper is hot. Your personal grudge against him is transparent and tired.

By saying "those who deserve it" you are saying you can judge who has value and who doesn't.

I'm in recovery. No one is responsible for your friend's addiction but your friends.

You soul must be a lonely place to not realize we are all worth compassion.

I hope when you need help someday someone with your current sensibilities isn't the only person you can turn to.
