Saturday Fright Fever: Marc Almond "The House Is Haunted"

Former Soft Cell front man, Marc Almond, has had his share of solo career ups and downs, but we think this little dittie from '86 is one of his tastier treats. And the haunted mansion storyline of the accompanying video is a deliciously spooky snack, perfect for All Hallow's Eve.

Also from '86, "Ruby Red" is a little too upbeat to put into your Halloween music mix, but the video is chock full of red devils (and a dreamy sailor). Plus, Almond struts around in a skeleton suit and turns into a red-eyed demon. The footage may provide some last-minute costume ideas for any of you procrastinators out there.

Kudos! My Dear! Haven't laughed that much in years! I haven't seen that much esoterica since the Houdini bio. Really a very nice play on 'Horror Genera' relics, which in essence, makes the music bearable. Ta! Ta! Happy Ghouls Night on All Hallows-Eve! He! He! He! He! He! He! NJMJr!
