We’re cuckoo for fashion photographer Andrew Kuykendall. The Los Angeles-based lensman is producing some of the most compellingly cinematic images we’ve come across in a while. We particularly love his gender-bending image of model Thomas Lipp (above), and broke Eye Candy's own no smoking rule for it. Not even Sean O’Pry has gotten away with that (so far).

Kuykendall’s take on men is influenced by Stanley Kubrick and the androgynous musicians of the 1970s and ‘80s. The fact that the 31-year-old Kuykendall looks and dresses like Studio 54–era Rod Stewart, confirms that, yes, he thinks Rod’s sexy. Does that make the lensman nervous about his gender? Not necessarily. But for the most part, Kuykendall's models seem a bit defiant on the subject, which makes for a more compelling image. And, in an era that has men aspiring to be seen as bears and cubs, it’s refreshing to encounter a guy with a bit of the feline going on.
