Since his gay marriage showdown with Miss California a few days ago, Perez Hilton has been making the cable teevee rounds to talk about his gay marriage showdown with Miss California. In the past two days alone, he has appeared on Larry King Live twice! Apparently, debating gay marriage is as hot a topic for Larry as white women who have gone missing.
It even appears that Perez is writing some of his own blog posts again, as there have been several entries recapping his gay marriage showdown with Miss California along with inspirational quotes from the likes of former Miss California Shanna Moakler and Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
But the most notable posts have been the ecstatic announcements that, hold on to your hats, singer/zombie Britney Spears and alleged human being Heidi Montag support gay marriage, just like Perez! And therein lies the rub: Do otherwise dreadful public figures who speak out for equality help or hurt the gay marriage movement? And why should anyone listen to endorsements from people who seem to have been put on this planet for the sole purpose of seeking individual fame? Or, are their voices better than none at all?
Only time will tell. Maybe these folks will have no impact one way or another. And to be honest, everything coming out of Perez's mouth this past week has been refreshingly articulate, which is a nice departure for the guy famous for drawing semen on pictures of other peoples' mouths.

Oh dear. The world needs a gay Obama. In the meantime, there's always Canada.

Really? Everything he's been saying? Calling Ms. California "a dumb bitch" and a "cunt" fits your defintion of "refreshingly honest?" Perhaps in the Gay Porn Bubble you occupy it is. But in the real world where laws are brokered and opinions formed, you'll find a very different reality. Join us some time.

Hilton is putting himself and Miss California on the same playing field. I think its funny.
Miss California wants fame also. It's a perfect matchup. Two fame-struck people duking it out. Perfect cancellation.
