Freshmen cover model revealed as cross-dressing Idol contestant

He was a... she! The Sword reveals that November 2008 Freshmen cover model and porn star Kirk Cummings was "Zachary," the long-haired, high-heel wearing, ambisexual Whitney Houston-wannabe from season 5 of American Idol.

Above is Zachary Travis' audition segment from American Idol. As you can see, Simon Cowell turns on the skepticism as soon as Zach sashays out... Unfortunately the youngster's "talent" (or lack thereof) does little to prove Cowell wrong, and Travis is rejected.

But like a phoenix rising from the ashes, Zach soon transformed himself into "Kirk Cummings"—and landed on the cover of Freshmen. Was Zach/Kirk's porno conversion the work of ex-porn star-turned-Idol-casting- chief Jordan Young?

Despite his new career in adult, Zach/Kirk has not given up on pop, as the above video attests (though it is debatable whether pop should give up on him!). Though the lad appeared on the cover of one of our publications, we were unaware of his Idol connection until now—and so was the rest of the world.
